Nintendo and Microsoft have both held events showcasing their upcoming first party releases in recent weeks, which means all eyes are now on Sony. Recently, journalist Jeff Grubb reported that the company had a “low-key” State of Play presentation planned “soon”, with a larger PlayStation Showcase planned for around June- but where the former is concerned, how soon is “soon”?
While many have speculated that the State of Play presentation will arrive sometime in March, Grubb has followed up on the aforementioned leak, having recently taken to Twitter and said that it is actually “likely to happen before the end of February”.
February 22 will, of course, also see the launch of the PlayStation VR2, so if Sony does have a State of Play presentation planned around that time, it’s possible that it will feature announcements for the virtual reality headset.
Of course, if that timeline is indeed what Sony has planned, it won’t be too long before we get official confirmation on it. Stay tuned, and we’ll keep you updated as more info comes our way.
I see people keep saying March for the State of Play, but I think it's more likely to happen before the end of February. https://t.co/lbQhqkKlyU
