Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name launches later this week, and reviews are already available (check out ours here). In the meantime, Sega has released a new trailer introducing the protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu, who has adopted the codename Joryu. Check it out below.
Set after Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, Kiryu now works with the Daidoji faction as an agent. Things are going well until the mysterious Homare Nishitani III seeks to draw him out. Though not as long as a traditional Yakuza title due to a six-month development period, Like a Dragon Gaiden does offer Sidestories, activities like Pocket Circuit, Cabaret, a Battle Arena and much more to keep players busy.
Unlike Yakuza: Like a Dragon, combat is real-time as Kiryu has two Styles – Yakuza, which mirrors his abilities from previous games, and Agent, which uses all kinds of technology like rocket shoes, drones and more.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is out on November 9th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It will also be available on day one for Game Pass.
