Capcom’s Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess arrives next month, with a new trailer debuting during the Xbox Games Showcase. However, a new behind-the-scenes development video is seemingly in the works, showcasing how the team generated effects and backgrounds for the action strategy title. Check out its first teaser below.
Some of the more interesting bits include utilizing fireworks for the effects of sparkler traps going off and lighting a replica blade on fire for flaming attacks. There are also the backgrounds, with models of towns hand-crafted and scanned into the experience. It creates an almost toy-like effect, especially when witnessing protagonist Soh walk among them.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is out on July 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. It’s also launching on day one for Game Pass. Check out more details of the gameplay loop and the different units that can aid in battle, and stay tuned for further updates.
