Capcom has revealed another trailer focusing on a weapon type in Monster Hunter Wilds – the Bow, the third long-range option after the Heavy and Light Bowguns. Unlike the latter, it uses different arrows and has a draw time. Check it out in action below.
The Bow can fire single arrows or spread shots while also raining down projectiles from above with a special move. As in previous titles, you can charge a shot for more damage and dash to avoid a monster’s attacks. What makes Monster Hunter Wilds’ version of the weapon interesting is the implementation of a tracer.
When hitting a monster with the same, all subsequent shots will home in on the tracer until it explodes. It also seems the team is taking cues from Dragon’s Dogma 2, with a Focus Strike that locks onto multiple points on a monster’s body to attack with several arrows.
Monster Hunter Wilds is out next year for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Two more weapon trailers remain – the Lance and Dual Blades – so stay tuned for the same.
